Where are we?

The Lodge is in Apple Valley, Utah which is about 12 miles East of Hurricane. The drive on HWY 59 is a 2,000 ft climb to 4,700 ft. The scenery is spectacular with Zion National Park in the background along with Mount Smithsonian, Canaan Mountain and Little Creek Mesa framing the area. The temperature is about 10 degrees cooler than Hurricane and St. George year round.
We are close to many National and State Parks. Zion National Park is only 30 minutes drive on the main roads. See the map below, although Google Map calculates that it will take up to 55 mins, we have done this many times and it usually takes us between 30 to 35 mins from our house to the South entrance to Zion National Park.
Alternatively if you have a 4WD head down the Smithsonian Butte Back Country Byway to get to Zion National Park . Smithsonian Butte Back Country Byway is only 1.5 miles from the lodge and travels for 9 miles between Apple Valley on State Route 59 to Rockville on State Route 9.
We are also within the immediate vicinity to world-class mountain biking trail systems such as Gooseberry Mesa, Little Creek Mesa and the JEM/Hurricane Rim Trails.
